   Microsoft

           To make use of the wireless network using Windows 2000, XP or VISTA you would need the following:

           1. At least a 128MB of RAM, but 256MB is recommended.

           2. An internal or external 802.11a/b/g wireless network card.

           3. At least Netscape 4.5, Internet Explorer 6 or Mozilla Firefox installed on your computer.

   Macintosh

          To make use of the wireless network using Mac OS 8.6 and above (including OS X), you will need the following:

          1. At least a 64MB or 128MB of RAM

          2. An Airport or Airport Extreme wireless network card

          3. At least Internet Explorer 6 or Safari installed on your computer.

PDA's & Mobile Devices

        To make use of wireless network using Windows Mobile 5.0 or Palm OS 5.0, you may need:

        1. At least 16MB or greater of RAM

        2. Wireless network card - 802.11b/g enabled. 

        * It isn't always guaranteed that mobile devices will be able to connect at all times.

Once the wireless card connects to the wireless network you need to open up a web browser.  You will be automatically directed to a login page where you will need to use your current username and password (firstname_lastname_00).  If you are unsure of your username or password, please call the Help Desk.
